Training Photos
This album contains photos of me training and get back to a normal level of health and stability. Many are at unique points in my recovery including. Photos include me participating in the Warrior Dash, my Cardiac Rehabilitation, personal training, Mt. Haleakala on Maui in Hawaii, Damoy Point on the western side of Wiencke Island near the Antarctic Peninsula, and recent journeys to Colorado and the Pacific Northwest as I train for Mt. Everest Base Camp.

Physical Journey
The physical journey of my experiences over the last 15 years since being diagnosed with cardiac conditions in 2000 and muscular dystrophy in 2006 has been wrought with many ups and downs. From long stays in the hospital to fun trips to Hawaii, to my participation in the Warrior Dash of 2014 as the final picture, you can get a brief sense of what I’ve gone through in recent years dealing with my complex health conditions.

ICD & MDA Events
I participate in a number of Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) events and Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) meetings throughout the year. Both have been amazing and instrumental in my emotional recovery, while allowing me to reach out and speak to others in need. As you can see from some of the pictures, we also have a great time together =) Both the ICD groups at the University of Iowa and University of Michigan are coordinated through Young Hearts with ICDs and Young ICD Connection (both are Facebook groups).

Family, Meetings, Events and Other
Where I come from is extremely important to me, so here you will find photos of me with my family, including my Mom, Dad and Brother who have each passed away. Combined are other photos of me at different meetings and events to include Merck Pharmaceutical, Advocate Healthcare, walks and bowling for cancer and the American Heart Association Heart Walk. You will also see one of my photos after St. Baldrick’s, an amazing trip to Nashville and lastly a group picture from my 40th birthday party.
